Hello

I am a Bishop, CA local - born and raised and returned after nursing school.  I have explored many other mountain ranges and the mountains of California remain my favorite.  I have learned and grown and celebrated and laughed and cried and danced in them.  They are my happy place, and the place that I feel most myself.  I started out as a long distance runner, wondering why on earthy people would spend four days hiking what could be ran in a day.  Thankfully, friends lured me into the world of multi-day Backcountry adventuring - and I never looked back.  I learned how to navigate and cook and route find and bathe, how to balance the desire for ultra light with the need for some essential comforts.  How to challenge myself and take calculated risk, while rolling with the uncertainty and challenges and unknowns that are the mountains.  Over a decade of exploring the Sierra Nevada mountains has resulted in a wealth of experience I am excited to share with other fellow mountain travelers.  Whether you are a first time trip planner dipping your toes in the cold and clear mountain waters, an experienced backpacker new to California mountains, looking for help in perfecting a set-up or route, or just passing through and needing some help to make your trip possible and worry free, I am here to assist.  For all of your beyond the trail needs, you have come to the best place.
